As part of Midwest Drum and Percussion’s 20 Year Anniversary Festivities, come hang with Ryan Knudsen as he talks about Percussion and Rhythms from the Caribbean, and how to apply those elements and ideas to the drum set in a group setting.

This won’t be your average drum clinic!
Ryan will be featuring the talents of his group, The Media Noche Trio, with Max Marshall on Keys and Coleman Cook on Bass.

This is going to be a GREAT night!
So if you are a drummer, have a friend or family member that is a drummer, or just want to come hear some cool music, make sure not to miss out!!

It’s a bit belated, but still important and here’s why; this year marks the 20th year of Midwest Drum & Percussion!!! Can you believe it? 20 YEARS!!! Thats crazy awesome!

We figured, what better way to start the new year than to have some awesome GEAR BLOW OUTS for you, our loyal customers, who have kept us open these last 20 years!

Pearl Vision VSX B-Stock BLOWOUT!

Every once in a while we get an opportunity for whatever reason to get an even sweeter deal on certain products. When these opportunities present themselves, we jump on top of them (not literally, I mean we can kick some pedals but our vertical leaves a bit to be desired).

At any rate, when Pearl approached us to help liquidate some very cool Vision kits that have been lurking in the corner of their warehouse for the last couple years it brought a smile to our collective face. These kits are Birch ply shells made with Pearl’s proprietary SST (superior shell technology) that makes them durable enough to be the only kit from a major manufacturer that comes with a lifetime warranty.

The Strata Black (a beautiful Delmar finish) will certainly get the attention of your Ringo though the sizes (10,12,16 with a booming 18×22 kick) are a little more contemporary than anything the fab four might have been comfortable with. Further attention was paid to the extra volume required to let the kick drum and floor tom fully project. These drums are a full 8-ply compared to the 6-ply construction of the rack toms.

The kit is topped off with a 5.5×14″ steel sensitone snare, a solid drum that has yet to find a style that it cannot conquer.

All in all, this is a great kit at any price… But, at nearly 60% off, the deal gets a solid bump up to “amazing.”
